Sedation Dentistry in Shreveport
Simple, Comfortable, and Effective Dental Procedures
For many people, the thought of going to the dentist can be nerve-wracking. That’s why our trusted staff at Sterling Dental Center knows how to handle patients who might be feeling uneasy about seeking help for their dental troubles. Sedation dentistry has advanced greatly over the years and our ability to make you comfortable has never been better. Our sedation dentists use refined techniques to make sure you feel as relaxed and calm as possible.
Types of Sedation Dentistry
Our dental practice has 30 years of experience dealing with patients and their common dental anxieties. We know how to handle and approach almost every situation with ease and professionalism.
We offer three types of sedation dentistry, including:
- Nitrous Oxide: Commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous oxide can be used for a routine cleaning on patients who want to relax during the procedure. Most of our patients prefer this sedation method because they can stay calm throughout their entire dental visit.
- Oral Sedation: For patients who exhibit higher stress, anxiety, or fear, we provide oral sedation. Medication is administered through pills and we’ll closely monitor your vital signs to ensure safety throughout your treatment.
- IV Sedation: IV sedation is typically used for lengthy, during which we will monitor the patient’s vital signs throughout the entire procedure. In this case, patients will be sleeping throughout the procedure and will only wake up when it is complete.
Your Comfort Is Our Priority
Our goal is to provide a world-class experience for all our patients.
